This clay contains iron, which helps give it it’s lovely colour, and the glazes contain metals which gives them their, well, their lovely colour and opacity. The metals in these products would make it very silly to put them in the microwave, don’t do it. I did once by mistake. Don’t.

As for washing, they will survive a dishwasher fine, but they will survive finer and longer if hand washed.

If you drop them they are likely to break, but they also might not. I’ve dropped loads, it’s only the ones that you really like that break.
